THE YOUNG AND THE BANGING

THE YOUNG AND THE BANGING is a co-created yearbook project and gallery show that exposes popular and interesting communities from cities across the globe with a focus on the young people that make them tick. We handpick and invite both people and companies within those communities to work with us as partners to make our yearbooks and gallery shows happen.

What once just lived as a fun and playful idea amongst some friends has now become a genuine dedication to capture and expose young creative energy through artistic collaboration.

Inspiration is a by-product of opportunity. The opportunity to discover new things. The opportunity to make something you couldn't make on your own. The opportunity to create and the opportunity to share. THE YOUNG AND THE BANGING was inspired by an opportunity, and through these projects we hope to inspire others.

First City: NEW YORK CITY 2008. Inspired by both the traditional American high school yearbook and Ezra Petronio's book "Bold and Beautiful" of Self Service, our NYC yearbook is all about downtown New York! It provides a look at almost 200 new faces of todays creative youth through polaroid photography.
